Roncaglia and Sobrino play together for first time
Facundo Roncaglia and Rubén Sobrino were both signed by Valencia CF on January 31st, just before the close of the winter transfer window. Eighteen days on, the dup finally lined shared a pitch, as they featured together for the first time.
For Sobrino, the game against RCD Espanyol was his first LaLiga appearance for VCF, and his first home encounter at Mestalla. He played 58 minutes of the Matchday 24 contest, before being replaced by Gonçalo Guedes.
Roncaglia played the full 90 minutes for the second consecutive LaLiga game, having also done so against Real Sociedad the previous weekend. In both of his appearances so far, he has accompanied Ezequiel Garay in the defence.
The on-loan Argentinian was unavailable for the UEFA Europa League game against Celtic, due to a suspension incurred with parent club Celta Vigo, but Sobrino would make his mark on the match, scoring his first goal for VCF and setting up Denis Cheryshev for another.
